Mr. Bouvard has been an uninterrupted member of the French Parliament since 1973 and was its vice President for a few years. He is a member of the foreign affairs commission, was President of the NATO Assembly and is currently the President of the French delegation to this Assembly. He is specialized in the topics of Defense (was a member of the Defense commission for many years) and foreign relations. On a more private side Mr. Bouvard fought during World War II and was the fifth youngest person to receive the French War Cross medal for his heroic actions then.
