Camner's research interests in European politics focus on the supranational character of the EU and European human rights regime, as well as on the progression of European integration. Her undergraduate thesis explored the creation of the European Court of Human Rights, asking why states chose to cede sovereignty to the Court and abide by its decisions. These interests are part of a broader research agenda focusing on international institutions and the human rights regime.
