Hosoya, a PIIRS fellow in 2008-2009, is associate professor of international politics at Keio University in Tokyo. His research focuses on international politics, particularly the international political history of modern Europe and the history of modern British foreign relations. Hosoya served as a lecturer at Hokkaido University and Keiai University, and most recently was a research associate at the Tokyo Institute. He comes to Princeton through a Fulbright research grant and plans to use his year to work on the creation of the U.S.-Japan alliance and post-war Asia-Pacific security.
